My Story

I am a licensed attorney practicing fertility law in California.

Born in South Africa, I immigrated to Dallas, Texas 18 years ago. As a result, I am well-versed in American and International law.

After obtaining a dual degree in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin, I followed my passion of becoming a lawyer and earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego Law School.

During my undergraduate studies, through the “Kids in Court” program, I mentored children who needed to testify in court. In law school, my passion for helping children continued to grow. I was one of 4 students chosen for the Child Welfare & Adoption Law National Moot Court team, and I competed nationally, winning several competitions, advocating for childrens’ rights.

I understand first-hand how stressful life can be for an individual or a couple who wants nothing more than to have a family of their own.

Shortly after graduating from law school, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As a precautionary measure, I chose to undergo fertility treatments before undergoing chemotherapy. This life-changing experience introduced me to the field of fertility law and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

My personal experience is why I take pride in guiding parents through this intricate legal process. I handle all aspects of fertility law, including egg donation, sperm donation, embryo donation as well as the complicated area of surrogacy law.

In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, exploring new restaurants, spending time at the beach with my cockapoo Kuna, and raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
